In two weeks we take you from “we have some monitoring” to a working observability practice: agreed SLOs, tuned alerting, four dashboards, an on-call runbook and a postmortem process your team will actually use. This is a done-with-you engagement: a VGuard engineer works alongside your team day by day.
How the sprint runs: Week 1 covers discovery and stakeholder interviews, a tool and data-source inventory, an alert audit (volume analysis and your top-20 noisiest rules), an SLO workshop and a suppression and consolidation plan staged for your approval. Week 2 builds the service-health, SOC, executive and on-call dashboards, puts routing, escalation and burn-rate alerts live, and finishes with two runbooks, postmortem template adoption and a handover session.
Deliverables: SLO register, tuned alert rule set with owners, 4 dashboards, on-call rotation and escalation document, 2 runbooks, postmortem template adoption and a 30-day follow-up call. Scope is fixed to one environment or product surface and up to three critical user journeys; additional surfaces are quoted separately.
